Flight Sergeant MORRISON as Fitter IIE joined No. 100 GR/B Squadron on the 1st September, 1942, as NCO in charge of a flight.

He displayed outstanding qualities of leadership and set an excellent example to all ground crews by his devotion to duty, efficiency and organising ability, and by his willingness at all times to do the job irrespective of the fact that on many occasions it necessitated working under the most difficult conditions at all hours, day and night.

In four weeks from 20th August, 1943, to 19th September, 1943, the squadron completed 1615 hours of operational flying and in no small measure Flight Sergeant MORRISON was responsible for the serviceability that made this possible.

Throughout his long tour of duty, Flight Sergeant MORRISON's co-operative manner, leadership and outstanding efforts were reflected throughout the ground crews of the squadron, and did much to increase their efficiency and state of morale.
