Flight Lieutenant Miller-Randle has been engaged with No. 4 Tac/R. Squadron in active operations against the enemy in the New Guinea area since 29th. July, 1943, and has displayed a high standard of skill as a tactical reconnaissance pilot, carrying out his work with purpose, determination and gallantry.

He has completed 155 hours of operational flying and has carried out 104 sorties, including 15 strikes.

Flight Lieutenant Miller-Randle is an expert pilot whose courage and determination are outstanding. Information brought back by him, generally under conditions of considerable risk of his life, has contributed in no small measure to the success of operations against the enemy carried out by the 7th. Australian Division.
