Squadron Leader McKENZIE was posted to No. 6 GR/B Squadron on the 12th March, 1943, as Flight Commander of "A" Flight, and has completed 160 hours of operational flying in that capacity.

He has participated in 30 sorties involving flying long hours in arduous weather conditions and in close proximity to Japanese fighter bases.

He has proved himself to be an excellent and determined leader and has always set an excellent example of courage and devotion to duty.
